USB problems (usb stick) with 8.2

Hi,
I have a problem with a USB stick. Whenever I plug the stick in, the stick
is noticed, the correct modules are loaded (usb-storage), but when I try to
mount the device (/dev/sda1) it hangs.
Strange thing is that after a fews times retrying it works...
And on a 7.3 machine it works perfectly!
Anyone a clue?
