in windows it uses the latest realplayer. i think part of the problem is that the site is total javascript. if i watch closely i see a very brief error message regarding javascript. i'm using realplayer8 with konq but have the same problem with mozilla. the site has a setup utility where i can succsessfully watch a streaming video of a barry bonds home run but i can't get it to work with the site's regular stream. thanks larry On Tuesday 10 June 2003 12:07, Pete Goodall wrote:

does anyone on the list listen to baseball via streaming audio on mlb.com? every year it's half way thru the sason before i can get it working on a linux box, though it works well on a windows machine. this year i am still stumped. a paid subscription is needed to listen to games but there are usually audio clips that can be heard gratis.
What format does it use? RealPlayer, Windows Media Player? Quicktime?
If it uses one of these formats you can use something like Crossover plugin. If it uses RealPlayer you can download the component, but it takes a bit of setup. The latest Ximian Desktop (Professional version) supports RealPlayer without all the setup.
