Hi all!
I downloaded the SuSE 8.2 livecd recently and was taking a look at its contents.
One file (boot/susee) has a size of 636Mb, but when I run 'file' against it, it just stays it is "data".
How can one mount this file and look at what is in it? I've tried "mount -o loop /path/to/susee /mnt/loop" as well as "insmod cloop file=/file/to/susee" to see if it were perhaps using cloop, but neither seems to work.
Does anyone know how to check out this file???
Thank you!!!
Maria
try: You need to mount the entire iso image file using your cdrom mount point. mount -o loop -t iso9660 /path_to/iso_image /path_to/cdrom_mount_point e.g. mount -o loop -t iso9660 /susee /media/cdrom then cd /media/cdrom then ls for file directory listing if unsure of your cdrom mount point check /etc/fstab Hope this helps, George -- Linux 2.4.21-pre6 i686 4:15pm up 66 days, 17:41, 5 users, load average: 0.04, 0.02, 0.00
