I installed 8.2, but whenever I reboot I get a message that configuration of my drives has been updated, and once SuSE loads, I no longer have a keyboard. The only way I've found to get back into the system is to use the 8.2 installation disc to "update installation." Then my keyboard works until the next boot.
Any suggestions?
(Using a usb keyboard, by the way)
Thanks in advance! Trent, It has been a while since I had your problem - about a year, but

In my BIOS I made sure it didnt enable the keyboard by the OS. then I had to make sure the usb modules were installed during boot. As best I can recall, under LILO I had to add the usb-uhci and hid to the line for booting. Later in GRUB I added the same things to the /etc/sysconfig/kernel file. Sorry I cant be more specific but at least you now have something to look for. I recommend you look into the SLE archives about a year ago or wait for someone with a better memory to answer.
