As root run yast
select SYSTEM -> EDITOR FOR SYSCONF

Once in check out DESKTOP -> DESKTOP-BASICS
There's a field called Default WM
That should make the systemwide default.

As for yours' If this doesn't fix it for your normal work account,
I'd suggest a few file checks... Make sure it's not in these files.

~/.bashrc
~/.profile

Worse case secnerio you can always add a line that sets the
windowmanager here. Then when ya login it's done for you.
