I have been using SuSE 8.0, 8.2, and United Linux 1.0 (from SuSE Open Exchange) for a while. I have never had processes get stuck in "D" state. Today, 2 different machines had it happen. (Both are still have processes stuck.) --- # ps -aux | grep " D " root 11495 0.0 0.2 2640 1184 ?
