Patrick, Thanks for your input so far. YaST correctly identifies that I have an HP-C1130A, but then gives me _no_ options in the "Select Vendor" / "Select Model" areas. So, I initially thought that it was a YaST problem. However, further investiagtion leads me to believe that there's something bigger going wrong, which is why I posted here for help. Notice the "[hp] scl_errcheck: Can't read SCL error stack: Error during device I/O" error messages in my initial posting; I don't think this is just a YaST config problem. I'd _love_ to be proven wrong, however... -Nick
