You'll have the same problems with gcc 3.3 release. Vanilla kernels prior to 2.4.21 can't be compiled by gcc 3.3, only 2.4.21 (and the -pre) contain the necessary fixes.

These are bugs in the kernel code and *not* related to gcc.

Ok, Philipp. Thank you. But, I have main problem. I would like to start AVP daemon for virus filtering. In previous releases of SuSE the AVP work fine. But can't start as daemon in SuSE8.2. All messages are same. The first I was checked a kernel, 2.4.20 from SuSE8.2, 2.4.20 by handly compile on SuSE8.1's computer and 2.4.21rc2 - the same result. Start and stay daemon in SuSE 8.1 (and older) only. Good start in SuSE 8.2 and NOT stay in daemon mode! What is differents in SuSE 8.1 and 8.2 ? If anybody would like to test it, I can send a tree. (13M) I think, some programs may badly working too. R
