Huh,how about to take it as purely theoretical question :)? I suspect none of you guys know real good answer so you start digging on him. If he wanted to harm the other admin I believe he would have done that already without asking here.
This reminds me New York Times affair guy wrote few made up stories and us attorney is already involved checking whether those articles were in violation with laws ... pff doesn't that sound stupid ... somebody has to always make a biggie of everything to fill up news right :).

It *isn't* a "theoretical" question though. He'd already admitted to 'somehow' finding out the admins password and had admitted to already being in the system as root! He wanted to know *how to hide his tracks*! Bleeding heart liberalism has made things in countries all over the world (but mainly here in the states, since it's where I live and most concerned about) a royal mess. People here can't 'spank' their kids without worrying about going to jail...it's friggin' pathetic I say! Bah...I best stop here before I get so fired up I'll never stop, heh.

That was my take on it. I didn't find anything that led me to believe he was doing research or asking for help on how to harden his system or institute some sort of security measures. I took it as it came, and my interpretation was he want to subvert the admin. Hence my terse and unappoligetic response. If he want help on a security matter there are far better ways to get that. AFAIC he wanted help on ghosting himself in someone elses machine as for my opinion he can go pound sand! Just MNSHO Curtis.
