Hey Group: I was just compiling a program (gnucash) and came across a error that I once in past created myself. This is a 8.2 autoconf, automake, aclocal problem. The program must have taken on there $HOME directory from /usr/src/packages/BUILD/autoconf-2.57. I ran in the guncash directory "autoconf" and it reported that /usr/src/packages/BUILD/autoconf-2.57/lib/(file) not found. True! However, /usr/share/autoconf is. I found that it had to be build on 8.0 and Knoppix in the final install directory. This solved the problem of various configure scripts failing. -- 73 de Donn Washburn __ " http://www.hal-pc.org/~n5xwb " Ham Callsign N5XWB / / __ __ __ __ __ __ __ 307 Savoy St. / /__ / / / / / / /_/ / \ / / Sugar Land, TX 77478 /_____/ /_/ /_/__/ /_____/ /_/_\ LL# 1.281.242.3256 a MSDOS Virus "Free Zone" OS Email: n5xwb@hal-pc.org Info: http://www.knoppix.net
