Do you know what your BIOS is? When you boot up (assuming you have any display at all), the very top thing you'll see is the name of the BIOS - Award, etc. Then notice the pattern and count of the beeps - they are a code. This is a hardware issue, and SuSE didn't cause it. Also, run the machine open an
d look at the processor fan - is it running?

The multiple beeps can mean that the processor is overheating. Post back with more precise info for more help.

If you are getting five beeps it is more than likely a CPU failure, especially if repeated.
