I don't know how "new" this is, but last I recall Fred's sig was the quote on 
"DRM == Digitally Retarted Media"; now it reads:

I'll admit I'm not the most "hardcore" trekkie, but wouldn't it make more 
sense to consider the marketing department to be the Ferengi and the 
engineering department to be the borg?  As I recall, the Ferengi were all 
about material things and making the big "deal", while the borg were the ones 
adept at assimulating other culture's "technology"...

[and I suppose the legal department is nothing more than an assimulated 
Ferengi ;) ]
