Tried upgrading to 8.2 via SMB yesterday on a machine here and ran into an odd problem. After getting through the package selection, the "info" message box that pops up indicating what version I was upgrading from and to did not show "8.2" as the install source. However, the installation was obviously running from that location! The upgrade refused to continue since it seemed to be pretty confused. Has anyone managed an install via SMB? If I hadn't been so lazy I would have tried NFS, but instead I've resorted to a CD install (see my last email re DVD install problems). -- John LeMay KC2KTH Senior Enterprise Consultant NJMC | http://www.njmc.com | Phone 732-557-4848 Specializing in Microsoft and Unix based solutions
