I just ran across an issue that was reported here a couple of weeks ago. 
I just installed a Samsung combo CDRW/DVD drive in my machine to install 
8.2 from. As soon as the install tries to sort through the available 
packages, the install hangs. The DVD does not seem to be read at this 
point like happens with the CD install method (which is running now as I 
type, although on a different machine obviously!). The CD's seem to 
install just fine. Also, this DVD installed perfectly well on my laptop 
with it's Sony DVD/CDRW drive.

Just thought I'd throw it out there for the benefit of others that may 
be wondering if anyone else is having the issue.
