Does this mean that you've managed to successfully build camstream on SuSE Linux 8.2? If so, did you do anything special?
I did not have to do anything special. However, I am still on 8.0 here. My 8.2 arrived today.

Ooooooo! If you get 0.26.2 to compile on 8.2, tell us how you did it. I had a heck of a fight, making links here and there, and then something completely strange showed up during the (7th? try) compilation. Sent it to The Camstream Man in an email, but he's still busy moving into his new place I think, so nothing back from him yet. I'll put it here though, to let others see what the new problem is in compilation. Here's my email to Nemo (is that what I should call him?) : ++++++++++++ Hi Nemo(?), I finally figured out how to get past the error of 'no uic' thing, (you might want to put these instructions on your Troubleshooting page), what I had to do was, in a konsole and in the camstream directory: Do the QT thing you tell people to do (the PATH thing) Then, su, ln -s /usr/lib/qt3/bin/uic /usr/local/bin <enter> Then still as su, ln -s /usr/lib/qt3/bin/moc /usr/local/bin This is for SuSE 8.2 users, updated through YOU only, so no big changes or anything on my system. The problem I have now is, it finally started to compile, but during 'make', I got this: IR=\"/usr/local/share/camstream\" -c -o ftpput.o ftpput.cc ftpput.cc:38:11: missing terminating " character ftpput.cc: In member function `void CFTPPut::Usage()': ftpput.cc:39: error: parse error before `enough' ftpput.cc:41: error: parse error before `@' token ftpput.cc:44:21: missing terminating ' character ftpput.cc:44:21: warning: character constant too long for its type ftpput.cc:49:1: missing terminating " character make[1]: *** [ftpput.o] Error 1 rm CamStreamMainWindow.moc.cc WebCamViewer.moc.cc CamWindow.moc.cc make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/john/camstream-0.26.2/camstream' make: *** [all] Error 2 I have no idea what to do now, and was hoping you may have an answer or solution. I really only like Camstream, and 0.25 won't compile on this system, since it uses qt3 something. Thanks for your work, and I hope I've helped you by sending you this 'problem'. Take care and be good. John +++++++++++++++++ John - -- A butterfly is: Pretty,soft,harmless...and useless, just like M$N.
