If I'm reading this right then your saying that newer hardware won't
work with the "kernel" acpi which isn't "SuSE's acpi"? I could be
reading this wrong but in case I'm not the I would hope that someone
could explain to me why all of my hardware works perfectly with 8.2 and
I have disabled nothing in fact all I changed after the install was
having both of my CD drives use the ide-scsi module. Other then that
I've changed nothing.

My machine is a P4 running on an Asus P4PE-L mainboard which isn't all
that old of a chipset.
