It was been a while since I had messed with Windows so I had to try this myself. You can get the file at: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;q192461 Now comes the tricky part. The EXE screws up on extracing in wine, odd a Microsoft program not playing by the rules. So you have to give it a command line switch like this. wine VBRun60.exe /C You will then be prompted for a download directory. I used C:\TEMP for my experiment. You will then need to move the DLL to the system directory specified in your wine configuration. I keep a Win98 install that I let wine rape. It doesn't boot any more but wine is happy. So I hope that you know where wine keeps your DLLs I don't. pben On Thursday 01 May 2003 08:54 am, Joe Dufresne wrote:

I need to run a VB file under wine, and require vbrun60.dll. I can only find the self extracting MS file, and not just the dll. when I try to run the .exe under wine, it always crashes.
anyone know where I can find the dll?
