Hi there!
Afternoon. :)
On SUSE 8.2, vmware-config.pl runs smoothly, vmware launches perfectly, but the installation of a win98 system, for instance, lasts about 12 hours... any hints?
My install of Win2k took me about an hour or so IIRC.
P.S. After vmware-tools installation, the guest system is also slow
Not seen this behaviour. The speed I get is about what I would expect.
P.P.S. Also the "guest vmware bios) is incredibly slow to navigate...
Nope.
My system: celeron 1Ghz, 256Mb ram, mainboard MSI6368
I have a P-III 750MHz and 512MB RAM. My guess is that you would see
better (much better) performance with more RAM. Also, if you could
replace your Celeron with a P-III you would get another boost.
