Yes -- that is similar to the 8.1 bug -- the solution is listed on:

Title SDB: Installing SuSE Linux 8.1: No Package Selection Available
URL http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/mlasars_8.1_dvdinstall.html

My laptop exhibited the bug on 8.1, but I haven't gotten around to
upgrading it to 8.2 -- on 8.1 I accidentally hit upon one of the
solutions they mention:

Alternatively, you can also select "Abort Installation" both in the
current menu and in the subsequent window to access linuxrc. Once in
linuxrc, press Enter three times to restart the installation process.

[end quote]

They haven't many bugs listed on:

Title SDB: Known Problems and Special Features in SuSE Linux 8.2
URL http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/bugs82.html

But you might look through for 8.1 leftovers on:

Title SDB: Known Problems and Special Features in SuSE Linux 8.1
URL http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/bugs81.html

Hope this helps.
