Hello Mr. Rhys, I have a "d-link dkvm-2" KVM switch connecting two machines, one with suse 8.1 and the other with w2k. I have several problems with this kvm switch: 1-switching between computer, when returning to linux, mouse get accelerated and imprecise; 2-turning on w2k machine first and 8.1 in the second, suse shows the hw configurator, asking which mouse i would like to use; 3-sometimes when returning to linux mouse doesn't work anymore, must logout/login from kde; -and etc... I'm trying to find a switch that works ok. BR Marco Oliveira On Friday 25 April 2003 10:15, Michael Rhys wrote: Hi, I use a Belkin SOHO KVM switch to access two PC running SLES8. The KVM Switch connects to the PC's via the USB Port. When I installed SLES I had to make sure that there was a suitable mouse in the USB port and then performed the installation. I then take the mouse out of the USB port relying on the KVM switch. Now whenever I reboot SLES the mouse stops working. The keyboard is fine (which is connected in exactly the same way). If I telnet to a stalled machine, and use Yast to unselect and reselect the mouse then restart X on that machine everything works again. Why is this happening, how can I ensure that the mouse keeps on working. The mouse is a logitech cordless mouse. Please note, until a couple of days ago I was using SUSE 8.2 and the problem did not manifest itself in this version. Any insight would be appreciated. Mike
