Maybe i'll get flamed but could anyone here recommend some place to learn "List etiquette"? I'm kinda new to this stuff, but just learnt about "top-posting" :-)
No reason for flames -- you're new and asking a reasonably intelligent question, so I wouldn't expect that you've learned all the "really neat places" to get answers without having to actually ask :) With that in mind, I just did a search for "rfc netiquette" [since I knew that "netiquette" has been codified in an "rfc", which is a "request for comments" in case you were wondering] The RFC number for this article is number 1855, and this is the "first hit" that google returned: http://marketing.tenagra.com/rfc1855.html [but realize that the internet "RFC"'s are duplicated far and wide, so if this site is unresponsive, a search for RFC 1855 will find plenty of alternates] I'd also like to direct you to this great site: http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html [this is one of those sites that needs to be posted every couple of months. Since it has been a couple of months since it was last mentioned, it's time for it again ;) ] - -- Yet another Blog: http://osnut.homelinux.net -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) Comment: http://osnut.homelinux.net/TomEmerson.asc iD8DBQE+pOZyV/YHUqq2SwsRAoGEAJsEQPy34V6eEBGnSOQOy2igTwjSiwCdEqkv f8B6XXdc0YyZx26njOSvGB8= =BLDq -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
