As a slight update, I've found out that another co-worker of mine installed the new 8.2 distro as well, and also has problems w/GPG and Evolution. He doesn't get the same error as I do, his will actually do the gpg signing, however, it corrupts his signature, and I'm unable to validate it anymore (I can still validate his old pre-8.2 upgrade signatures). Also, I've tried compiling and installing the latest gpg tarball, but I still get the same error message as before when I try to sign an email. I did get rid of the line regarding the config file by re-naming the file, but I'm still seeing the rest of the errors.
same issue here even after upgrading to Evolution 1.2.4 using the ximian suse 8.1 rpms. (the install/upgrade works for evolution, but not for red-carpet)
gpg: NOTE: old default options '/home/<myacct>/.gnupg/options' ignored gpg: gpg-agent is not available in this session gpg: writing to `-' gpg: DSA signature from: "<signing key info here>"
I checked and I do have gpg-agent installed. I even tried running it with the '--daemon' switch and then tried sending the mail, but I got the same error. Has anyone seen this? This is the first time I've run into this problem. I was previously using gpg v.1.2.1 (latest stable release), but I noticed that SuSE 8.2 comes with v.1.2.2, could this be part of the problem? Thanks in advance.
