Guess what folks?
I totally resent some of the comments directed at me for stating an opinion about some peoples buying habits. It was not a political statement, and it most certainly was not flamebait as somebody suggested.
I suggested simply, that some prefer to buy products, when possible, that are made in there own country.
Good, that has cleared that up for me.
I don't see this is a political statement or anyting else worthy of the backlash that I have gotten from some of you.
Frankly, I'm dissapointed, and I would expect an apology.
For Jim Norton ============== I apologise for my part in misunderstanding what you wrote originally. Note, I still read your original comment and feel that given the use of the word 'homeland' it is specific to the context of the US, rather than general [Fatherland = Germany, Motherland = Russia, Homeland = USA]. I don't think I am alone in reading your comment the way I did. But, whether or not you hold to the view becomes irrelevant, because I accept that you were not deliberately advocating it. For Americans on the list ========================= Of course, some of you support what your government is doing and others most certainly don't. I clarify that my views are in respect of the American government. I apologise for confusing the American people in general with their government. For the person who told me to 'go get bent' =========================================== This phrase might not cross too accurately between our 2 cultures, so we'll forget you said it, rather than clarify. For those who wrote off list ============================ Thanks for your comments and support regards Vince Littler
