You did not get it yet? We do not have April 30, or May 1. If you do not even manage to set your clock after you got asked very politely why should anyone believe that it might make sense to try to help you? Most users here do sort their Emails by date, you are messing this up. It is also of course having an effect on your file system ... OK? So come back from the future, and maybe someone does know how to help you. And do not blame SuSE, it is you / your hardware who sets the clock, not the SuSE installation. There is no clock (yet?) build in the SuSE installation DVDs. Regards, Matt PS. if your clock is set correctly, and you do indeed have May 1 already, how about sending us a scan of the latest NASDAQ / NYSE / lottery etc numbers??? lol, thanks for that.
Its a brand new install on 8.2 and I hadn't noticed the clock thing. Can't understand why suse picked up the wrong date though.

what do you mean?
Strange how you wrote your email in the future! Today is 16th April in UK, where are you? Chech your system clock - it's 4 days fast!!
Having your clock set wrong can fsck up sorting etc...
