Hi - Has anyone just done an upgrade as opposed to a clean install? I've got 8.1, and except for a few kinks, it's working exactly the way I want it. I've always done clean installs before, but this time I'd really rather not. Especially in light of people who are having trouble with Evolution spell checker and OpenOffice, both of which I use. Of course, I'll back up everything first so if the upgrade doesn't work right I can always clean install later. Some small glitches that appeared after my last YaST Online update (which brought me from KDE 3.0.4 to 3.0.5 - I haven't manually upgraded to 3.1) are 1) the ability to drag an image to the desktop and have the option to "set as wallpaper"; 2) none of the java apps like the PopCap games work in any browser even though I haven't changed anything; 3) Crossover Plugin (to be able to play Quicktime movies) doesn't work - this is a Known Issue. So some libraries obviously changed. Thanks for your input and cheers, Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic!"
