I see. I was just reading a linux journal article on the new
Reiser4 file system. In it Hans Reiser claims to slash the time
it takes to read a file in half from the found in the current
Reiser3 file system (certainly a bottleneck). The article does not
mention anything about how much RAM is used for disk i/o just by
the file system itself. Does anyone on this list know if this has
been improved? I guess Reiser4 is slated to come out in June,
2003 so it probably won't be included with SuSE 8.2 which I
preordered from SuSE and still haven't received yet. Perhaps
Hans and his team won't have it ready until the stable release
of the new 2.6 kernel. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I don't use quota but I just noticed that NTFS also supports
quotas in XP home.
