Would someone please help me to setup virus scan of mail. I am using 8.0Pro with Mozilla1.4a to read and send mail. I connect to my ISP via dial-up modem. I currently have f-prot loaded which I use to scan my files with. With windoze it was easy to get any number of programs to scan mail but I still have not figured this out with linux, in fact I am not sure how my mail is fetched from ISP. One good way is to use fetchmail, in concert with procmail and use spamassassin to check for spam. But doing all of the above is a lot more complex than just using Moz to go fetch your mail from your ISP. Moz is using the POP3 portocol to bring the email to your machine. Fetchmail will also do that and then hand the mail over to procmail which will run it through spamassassin and then deliver it.. But you would have to do some 'larning to get to that point. -- +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ + Bruce S.
