Hi list,
I need to create a ipip tunnel between two linux which connect each other by normal ip routing. the configuration is the next one:
host A eth0: 172.18.2.14/24 default gw: 172.18.2.10
host B eth0: 172.18.1.11/24 default gw: 172.18.1.253
Here you are the tracer's between each other.
Host B ---> host A 1 172.18.1.253 1 ms 0 ms 0 ms 2 10.254.254.40 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms 3 146.135.138.82 22 ms 22 ms 22 ms 4 10.254.253.10 22 ms 22 ms 22 ms 5 172.18.2.14 22 ms 22 ms 22 ms
Host A ---> Host B
1 172.18.2.10 1 ms 0 ms 0 ms 2 10.254.253.40 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms 3 146.135.138.81 21 ms 21 ms 21 ms 4 10.254.254.10 21 ms 21 ms 21 ms 5 10.254.254.1 21 ms 21 ms 21 ms 6 172.18.1.11 22 ms 22 ms 22 ms
My intention is create a ipip tunnel between two linux in order to set host B as default gw of host A. Could anyone help me with ip commands?, I have already tried a lot of combination but none works. I sure that this is possible to do and I also sure there is a lot of gurus in this list.
Thank you in advance.
Check the advance routing howto, it has an excellent coverage on tunneling.
