I have an Artec AS6e. There is a parallel port driver for it on SourceForge. Lucky me. The install was simple, and SANE recognized it right off. It works great. Perhaps someone has started a project for yours. Maybe you if not. :=)

Would you believe it? It turns out somebody has (Eddy de Greef: dank U veel). I've found a mainland adapter plug, connected my ScanMagic 600 CP (a 4-year-old gift), downloaded and configured sane, and it works.
