Hi,
I just installed 8.1 on an IBM 600X laptop and the although the
battery appears on the KDE toolbar there is a red cross thru it.
Clicking on the cross tells me that ACPI is not correctly installed - 'AC
Adaptor' and 'Control Method Battery' need to be enabled and my kernel
rebuilt.
The package apmd appears to be installed (v.3.0.2-184) but starting or
stopping the service gives a 'not supported by kernel' error. SuSE Help
doesn't seems to help much.
Any suggestions would be appreciated...
Thanks,
John
