Hi,
DC> I have copied the 7 CDs into seven directories on a server thus:
DC> 192.168.1.4/home/dougie/SuSE/CD1
DC> 192.168.1.4/home/dougie/SuSE/CD2
DC> ...
DC> 192.168.1.4/home/dougie/SuSE/CD7
hm, I`d go a different way (worked good for me):
Copy all content from the CD's in /home/dougie/SuSE
But you should copy CD1 at last!
(Some files are overwritten (at least in older versions))
So the easiest is to copy the cd's in a reverse order:
cd7, cd6...cd1
This is more comfortable because yast can automatically find
all packets and you don't have to change directorys.
(or is there a better solution in newer version?
this way it worked for me since 6.x-versions)
DC> My /etc/exports looks like this:
DC> /home/dougie/SuSE/ 192.168.1.9(rw,sync)
why rw?
DC> Error
DC> Unable to create installation source from URL 'nfs://192.168.1.4//home/
DC> dougie/SuSE/CD1'. A source with the same product already exists.
this problem appears often.. (it sucks :/)
Try too delete all old install-sources and then create the nfs-source
again..
Perhaps this will help or it will lead to total confusion =)
Bye.
