Mouse Problems with SuSE 8.0

I have a Microtel 900 MHz Altheon processor PC with SuSE 8.0. When I try
to select something, I have to go about 1 cm to the right of what I want
to select. When I reboot the machine from a cold start, It is OK
temporarily, then all of a sudden, same thing.
Any idea of this strange behavior?
