Hello list. I am having a slight problem with mounting a Mac CD and sharing it to Mac clients. I have been able to do this using SuSE 7.0 pro and netatalk 1.4b2+asun2.1.3-130. The mounted Mac CD contents are displayed on the mac client (OS 8.6) as one would expect and users can use the CD drive. When the user views the linux shared CD ROM folder layout and a Mac client CD ROM folder layout, they are identical. I am using SuSE 8.0 pro and the distributed version of netatalk. I am able to mount mount the CD by by editing the fstab file and add the hfs file system (since auto does not work for some reason). Mtab looks fine and show a hfs mount. When I access the linux shared CD from the same Mac client, I can see the folders but it is not viewed the same as it is seen when using the Mac Client CD Rom drive. Thus using this to distribute Mac software is not straight forward. Has anybody else experienced this? Any help is appreciated. I would not like to use an earlier version of netatalk because I am also providing more than 15 printers to our Mac clients. Thank you in advance.
