If you don't have the funds to get a dvd drive then you don't have the funds to upgrade to every version of suse that gets published.
And guess what: *you don't have to*
How in the world can you even justify yourself saying that? How do you know
that he, or *anyone* on this list buys 'every version' that comes out!? You are acting like a snot nosed rich kid brat! I'm a poor SOB, I don't get every
version that comes out. I don't have and can't afford a dvd drive. Does this
make me a 20th century screw up too? You do also understand that most people still only have dial-up, don't you?
Or are you so lost in your "21st century" to know about the "real world"...not just your 21st century?

doesn't make sense, A lot of people doesn't have enough money to buy a pc ... that's very very bad, but it's not a reason to put my pc away (more a reason to do some donations sometimes), or to stay with older configurations. I agree and can understand: the real world is not for everyone a good world (and let's try to make a better world), I think everyone on this list understands that. Again: - we don't know what's on the cd or what is on the dvd: every time that Suse introduces a new version there is a lot of critics, even if they don't know where they talking about - even if you buy 8.1, you can access all the software on the cdroms, and if the source is on dvd: you don't need all packages, only a few: so downloads (and they are for 90% of the packages NOT big) so even if you have a normal modem, even with 14k4 ... -- m vr gr Frederik Vos VosBerg@SuSE & L4L http://www.vosberg.be
