I have one X session running on my local computer. I then CTRL-ALT-F6 to start a console based login. Then I do:
X :1 -query
The login is successful! AT this point of time I do a CTRL-ALT-F7 to switch to my local session. Successful. Okay.. so now I want to switch back to the remote session. I do a CTRL+ALT+F6
The new X session will get a new tty, the first available. f1-f6 are used by the text consoles, f7 by the default X login, so your new X will be on ctrl-alt-f8. Anders
