The file type and directory is not TTF - my mistake, it is Xft. After looking there doesn't even seem to be an Xft directory in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts. So, my bad. Curtis On Monday 03 March 2003 20:34, Curtis Rey wrote:
I've seen this on the list lately but, at present I'm on my beta machine because I can't get into a gui to look at the possible solution.
I updated to XF86 4.3 and then attempted to run SuSEconfig. It locks up when checking the fonts at the 1st one it attemps to do - "TTF" fonts. I read where Anders said he deleted the fonts.cache-1 file (and this is recreated) but SuSEconfig still locks up at the same place. So no fonts = no login beyond tty1-6.
Anyone know what is going on and a workaroung or package i need?
I would really appreciate the help. I am quite frustrated right now - just seems that this shouldn't be an issue - but it is, oh well! :-/
TIA, Curtis.
