No problem. You can change the user agent in mozilla/netscape7 by putting this line in a file called user.js in ~/.mozilla/<bunch of letters>/username/
The line looks like this.
user_pref("general.useragent.override", "Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 5.0)");
Hmm - I don't have a file named "user.js" but I edited "prefs.js" and it did the trick, so, once again, thanks.
Anyway..complain to your bank. They should let any modern browser into their site that does SSL and the like. I've switched banks over this silly behavior. :)
Oh, I have complained! Apparently, only IE and Netscape Communicator (up to 4.76) have the "advanced security features" necessary to safeguard my details. Ho, Ho, Ho! It does work fine with Konqueror, provided I change browser identification, but I just don't particularly like it as a browser. All the best. David -- Si Hoc Legere Scis Nimium Eruditionis Habes
