Hi all, I have just bought a new hard disk. Now, I have two hard disks : the old one, on which I have installed SuSE 8.1 (it is a maxtor 91021U2 of 9.41Go) and the new one (it is a maxtor 6Y080L0 of 76.33Go). When I boot Linux, I have the following message I don't really understand : blk: queue c037be64, I/O limit 4095Mb (mask 0xffffffff) hda: safely enabled flush hda: 19746720 sectors (10110 MB) w/512KiB Cache, CHS=1229/255/63, UDMA(66) blk: queue c037bfac, I/O limit 4095Mb (mask 0xffffffff) hdb: failed write cache flush, disabling ordered write support hdb: 160086528 sectors (81964 MB) w/2048KiB Cache, CHS=9964/255/63, UDMA(66) What is " failed write cache flush, disabling ordered write support " ? My computer is a old one (IBM 6563-VDG with the following bios version : IBM PJKT 38AUS, 30/03/2001), is that mean my hard drive is not well seen by the bios or something else? Can this create some futur problems, like HDD crash? Thanks, Sebastien
