I'd look for a heat related problem. Could be CPU fans, memory, or even the power supply not getting enough cooling. I'm running a dual Athlon with big heatsinks and fans, cooling on the memory chips, and 4 fans in the case. Two of the case fans cool the hard drives which have heatsinks on them..
