I still have problems with installation from harddrive. I'm 157% sure, that I've copied ALL the files from CDs (I've clean /dev/hda3 with ext3 and SuSE dir there and CD1...CD7 dirs inside). The process is: 1. Load from floppy 2. Add ext3 module 3. Start new installation 4. From harddrive (/dev/hda3) and dir is "SuSE/CD1" 5. It starts YaST2 and... I have "ERROR: no proposal" in the "Software Selection" section. I've read all the support database and found similar problem with DVD installation. The solution is to set "cdromdevice=hdc" kernel parameter. I've tried "cdromdevice=hda3" and "cdromdevice=hda" - no luck. Please, please, please help. PS. I've noticed, that SuSE 8.1 is very-very-very buggy (a lot of problems with installing, problems with mc, ...). SuSE 7 was much more better. -- +++ GMX - Mail, Messaging & more http://www.gmx.net +++ Bitte lächeln! Fotogalerie online mit GMX ohne eigene Homepage!
