cd cd-rom would be the E-IDE. Go to /dev. There should be two soft links: sr0 -> cdrom and sr1 -> cdrecorder. Now type: "rm cdrecorder", "rm cdrom", "ln -s sr0 cdrecorder" and "ln -s sr1 cdrom" If you now want to install software with YaST you have to use your other drive
p.s. I noticed something strange while producing this output: I couldn't copy the output of the command from the terminal to this window, I had to redirect the output to a file, chown it to my regular user, open the file with a text-viewer and copy/paste it. Is this normal behaviour? I've no problems doing that.
I hope I could help you, Fabian
