I'm not a lawyer, but I believe that if you delete all copies you have, and deliver all the software and manuals, etc., you would be legally moving the program to the next owner. Particularly if you are not selling it. If I am in error, someone please correct me. --doug At 11:14 02/07/2003 +0100, Martijn van den Burg wrote:
Hi,
I've got some old software (SuSE 6.4, Applixware, StarOffice) I don't use anymore. Seems a waste to just dump it (especially the shiny SuSE box :-) although the use is rather limited (especially Applix's, which is libc5).
Would it be illegal to donate this software? And if not, are there any charities or value-creating businesses that would be interested in this stuff?
Feel free to contact me off-list if you think this is too OT.
Kind regards,
Martijn
