Well, balsa is a gnome thing, so it will start gnome libs instead :-)

Er... I don't know about that, but the balsa version of suse 8.1 is broken: see my previous mails about it. I'll try to remember to try Icewm one of this days :-)
Does Icewm need some special config to run safely and with stability? Did I affect it in any way by originally choosing KDE as my preferred environment?
