Hello SuSE folks,
Running 8.1 and kde3.0.5
When the log-in screen starts I get several messages and don't know what they mean. They are:
(date & time) Linux kernel: (hdc), unsupported command in request queue (0) (which is also repeated before each of the following lines)
(date & time) Linux kernel end_request I/O error, dev 16 (hdc), sector 64 (which repeats for 66,68,70, etc) (hdc is my cdrom and is ide-scsi)
The same group of messages also misidentifies my cdrom as a cdwriter but identifies them correctly as devices sr0 and sr1, both as ide-scsi this all started when I upgraded from 8.0 to 8.1 and converted the cdrom to scsi emulation.
Any ideas?
Bob S. I have this same problem, and posted about it last month. Basically I was told to forget about them. I tried numorous things but they still persist, although with kde 3.1 I'm no longer greeted by them when i boot my computer, but they are still there. :-{
If you find a way to get rid of them let me know. -- Franklin Maurer nebbish@sprynet.com Using SuSE 8.1
