The xmms package has the files you need to compile xmms apps/plugins:
# rpm -ql xmms | grep include /usr/X11R6/include/xmms /usr/X11R6/include/xmms/configfile.h /usr/X11R6/include/xmms/dirbrowser.h /usr/X11R6/include/xmms/formatter.h /usr/X11R6/include/xmms/fullscreen.h /usr/X11R6/include/xmms/plugin.h /usr/X11R6/include/xmms/titlestring.h /usr/X11R6/include/xmms/util.h /usr/X11R6/include/xmms/xmmsctrl.h #
Actually, I despise this inconsistency in SuSE naming scheme. Although it's arguable whether there should be a "devel" package with only 6 header files, at least what could be done is to have the main package Provide "xmms-devel". For some reason or another, that's not done...
DOH! Yes, this does get confusing. In this case it's a spec file that was looking for xmms-devel before compiling, easy fix.... Between that and seeing xmms-devel packages on RPMfind.net for other distros, I just figured something was missing.
Ugh, okay, thanks!
