I have recently copied the whole FTP tree for a NFS install of 8.1. But the hidden file is missing. And i cant find it on the servers i copied from. Whats the name/location/contents of it?

I know the file for 8.0 is ".S.u.S.E-disk-001.2002061414" and contains the line "SuSE-Linux-FTP-INT-i386 Version 8.0"

Whats the corresponding file for 8.1??

Is there really NOONE that knows this??

Hi. I did the same but for a ftp installation except I just mounted the dvd under /srv/ftp/pub and pointed the clients via yast2 at it via 'change source of installation'. I just checked the dvd and disk1 of the cd distro and there are no hidden files on either, but the installation was fine. Hope this helps. Steve.
