After running kmail and it not starting I found it was using 80% cpu strange ??? I ran killall -9 kmail to kill all parent & child processes..

Another idea : KDELIBS3
as root, do :
rpm -qa |grep kdelibs3
. . . as see what it says . . .
My idea
IF the result of rpm -qa |grep kdelibs3 is :- kdelibs3-devel_3.0.4-4_i386.rpm kdelibs3_3.0.4-4_i386.rpm
BUT, if the result is :- kdelibs3-devel_3.0.4-5_i386.rpm kdelibs3_3.0.4-5_i386.rpm OR kdelibs3-devel_3.0.5-0_i586.rpm kdelibs3_3.0.5-0_i586.rpm THEN you got trouble
rpm -qa |grep kdelibs3 kdelibs3-cups-3.0.5-3 kdelibs3-devel-3.0.5-3 kdelibs3-3.0.5-3 kdelibs3-devel-doc-3.0.5-3
Solution
Go back to :- kdelibs3-devel_3.0.4-4_i386.rpm kdelibs3_3.0.4-4_i386.rpm
The originals on the 8.1pro dvd are 3-3.0.368.i586.rpms I have the the security rpms installed , which seemed to screw up kmail? Where do I get the ones you've recommended?
