Hi All, I have created megaraid 1.18f kernel modules for SuSE 8.0 so that I can install SuSE 8.0 on a Dell PowerEdge 2600 server. I know these work because my modules disk work, and I have modprobed them manually from the emergency shell on the SuSE install CD's. I am having a problem creating an *update* disk though. I have done everything that I have been told to here : http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/hmeyer_driver_update.html and used my new kernel modules, but when loading SuSE 8.0, pressing alt at the lilo prompt and inserting my disk when asked. The modules are not loaded. I presume there is something wrong with the way the disk is built. Can someone who is a little more experienced than me (SuSE Engineers maybe!??) take a look at the disk image I ahve made and tell me where I have gone wrong please? My Linux page is here: http://www.oldham.gov.uk/mccall/linux/ and a direct download to the disk image is here : http://www.oldham.gov.uk/mccall/linux/SuSE.8.0.MegaRAID-1.18f-update.img -- Thanks, Andrew McCall Internet/Linux System Administrator I.C.T.
