Why not edit the unix.js file to hold the real list of printers?

close mozilla
edit /opt/mozilla/defaults/pref/unix.js, enter kprinter as on the second line below.
pref("print.print_command", "lpr ${MOZ_PRINTER_NAME:+'-P'}${MOZ_PRINTER_NAME}"); pref("print.printer_list", "kprinter"); // list of printers, seperated by spaces
open mozilla go to the site to print select file->print
the dialog box @ printer will have PostScript/default or kprinter select kprinter, then properties
in the properties box @ "Print Command" delete the contents and enter: kprinter --stdin
select OK
select Print

Patrick, Yes, I did read the past ten or so posts in this thread before I jumped in, so I did see the above post from which you are quoting. But the solution didn't seem to be working for the user, so I thought he might like to try something else. And my original question was "Why not edit the unix.js file to hold the real list of printers?" so if there's a reason not to do it my way I'm always keen to learn. (I'm a bit of a newbie myself...)
