I've been trying to get Postfix to invoke procmail and have not been successful. I modified /etc/postfix/main.cf: mailbox_command = /usr/bin/procmail
master.cf has procmail listed as:
procmail unix - n n - - pipe flags=R user=nobody argv=/usr/bin/procmail -t -m /etc/procmailrc ${sender} ${recipient}
Where the parameters are: # service type private unpriv chroot wakeup maxproc command + args
The default wakeup is never.
I have verified that postfix is sending outgoing email and receiving email for the appropriate domains.
My $HOME/.procmailrc directs all email to various mh folders. On 8.1, the email was left on /var/spool/mail/gaf
Are you using postfix or fetchmail to get your mail from a mail server? I think fetchmail and, if so, you should revise your ~/.fetchmailrc to reflect the mda as: poll imap.myrealbox.com with proto IMAP timeout 60 user 'gaf' there with password 'xxxxxxxx' is 'jerry' here options fetchall stripcr ssl mda '/usr/bin/procmail -d %T' and initiate: fetchmail -d 600 but, I don't know how you are getting your mail ??? -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org icq#173753138
